Mosu community Run
Giving Back to the Community
Every year, on the Friday before the Salt Pans Ultra, we host the Community Run in Mosu — a charity event dedicated to bringing the spirit of the SPU directly to the people who live closest to the pans. This annual run is our way of giving back to the village, supporting the local school, and inspiring a culture of movement, health, and community pride.
The event includes a fun run for all ages, supported with food, water, and energy drinks for every participant. We also invite motivational speakers to the local school to encourage students — and the wider community — to stay active, make healthy choices, and believe in their potential. Mosu Primary School is a boarding school serving more than 200 children from surrounding villages, and this event has become an important annual highlight for them.
100% of all donations go directly into making the Mosu Run possible: covering event costs, providing food and drinks, and ensuring safety on the day. Any remaining funds are used to support school projects and essential equipment needs at Mosu Primary School.
The Community Run is more than an event — it’s a connection between the SPU and the people of Mosu. A celebration of health, movement, and opportunity. And a reminder that running has the power to uplift an entire community.
